An established retailer with an older website looking for a facelift. This describes Bob Wagner’s Flooring America website to a “T”. The business has a strong web presence with lots of activity but felt it was time to freshen its online brand.
Project Overview:
Update the existing site which was built using the website builder utility from a large, international, parental-type hosting company. The site was difficult to update and lacked some of the niceties the company wanted – ease of social network integration, external linkages to manufacturer catalog, and consistent navigation.
Solution:
WordPress Framework: Genesis by StudioPress
Theme base: Executive Pro
The Executive Pro theme brings the heavily visual content of a flooring distributor front and center, with a large hero image slider that engages the visitor immediately. A call to action on the front page along with a selection of social network integration icons is ready to interact with the site visitor. The responsive design enables on-the-road customers to browse the site location and get navigation information to enable them to drive to the closest retail location.
Customization includes new color options, updated typography, a re-worked display of featured items on the home page, and integration of an external blog.
The portfolio page “Inspiration” was completely modified to produce a flip-style hover effect to display room suggestions combined with text description.
Three brick-and-mortar locations for this local retailer are ready to help you with your next flooring project. Stop by the website and visit, reach out through the contact forms, or give them a call.
