WordPress 4.2 was announced yesterday.
Here is a link to a post on WP Tavern regarding the release. WordPress 4.2 “Powell” is Now Available for Download.
One of the questions that came out over night was about WordPress v4.1.3 or WordPress v4.2. Some sites were updated to 4.1.3 and some to 4.2 Why?
Check this out: Why Some Sites Automatically Updated to WordPress 4.1.3.
All of Cap Web Solutions’ Top Hat Total Care WPcare support customers will be updated to 4.2 over the next two weeks. We will be doing some site testing first to make sure that the update is compatible with your themes and plugins. The testing will not impact your site operations. If we find that your theme or plugins are not compatible with version 4.2 you will be alerted and together we will work out a course of action.
For those of you who blog frequently, I recommend that you take note of the enhanced capability added to the PressThis tool. You can access this tool through your WordPress Admin panel. By adding the bookmarklet to your browser bookmarks bar you can share web content easier then ever. Try it out. Let me know what you think about it in the comments.
If you have any questions about this WordPress update, or any other WordPress questions, submit a support request with your question and I’ll jump right on it.
