Development
Next we move onto the development where we will work to build a website that matches the approved designs and functionality described in the scope of work document. The completed website is then sent to you for review, beginning the modification period.
Your website is built with front-end templates in HTML5, PHP, and CSS, while JQuery is used for simple behavior and effects. It will be housed in WordPress, set up on your hosting server, properly configured with an admin panel tailored for you. The custom WordPress theme will mirror the design created for you.
Your website will initially contain between 5-10 static pages including, for example, the front page, about us, our services, our team, and contact us. You will be able to add new top level and secondary pages to the site navigation yourself in WordPress. If desired, a blog will be set up for you to publish posts that will be displayed in a chronological order with pagination, search, tagging and category filters.
The website will include social media widgets on interior pages to permit your site visitors to share your content on their social networks, social share buttons to connect with you socially, as requested, an email form on your contact page, and an email newsletter sign up form which can be hooked into your 3rd party email marketing application.
Plugins are a way to extend the functionality of WordPress and make the admin panel easier to manage. These small apps are installed prior to launch. They will include a tools to manage the navigation, automatically backup the database, SEO tools so you can manage the title and meta description tags, and an XML site-map generator which will help Google index your pages automatically.
